Multi-Systems is a multi disciplinary Nigerian firm of Architects, Planners and Project Managers. It is a fully owned Nigerian Architectural firm registerd in Nigeria under ARCON, with its main Head Office located at No. 82 Wudil Road, P.O.Box 6479, Kano – Nigeria. Though the firm was set up in 1980, the Partners/Directors and other staff have had varied experience in various parts of the country and outside prior to setting up the Practice. With its Head Office in Kano it also has branch offices spreading out to Abuja and Katsina. The history of this Practice has afforded its key professional staff the opportunity of handling and participating in various programs like lectures, seminars, courses, exhibitions and design appraisals all over the globe which facilitates unique opportunity for interaction and business association with some international firms. One of the Directors participated in a Senior Executive Course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, while another has successfully completed M.Sc. course (Project Management) at the University of Reading (UK) and has worked under the firm of Kenzo Tange and Urtec of Japan between1980 – 1982. Furthermore, two of the Directors graduated at Harvard Business School on a Professional Practice Program recently as part of the firms deliberate strategy for keeping up to date.
Multi-Systems has also established itself as a leader in the Abuja experience. At the onset, one of the partners was among the pioneer staff of FCDA in 1978, later to join the Consultants for Central Area design. As detailed in our project portfolio, the firm is involved in the development of 9 high rise buildings mostly as design architects, and in some cases as Project Managers. Thus, in Abuja alone, the firm is involved in projects costing above N15 billion. In the field of Planning, this firm has participated executed the Detailed Master Plan & Preliminary Engineering Design of Wuye District, Phase 2, Abuja; Karshi District Master Plan Abuja; Master Plan of Gombe State University; Master Plan of Kano State University of Technology Wudil and Master Plan and Architectural Design of all major buildings of the Katsina State University. The firm’s clients range from almost all major banks, financial institutions and private companies to State and Federal Governments.
The firm commenced its international exposure in design and management of World Bank sponsored projects at home. So far three groups of projects for the World Bank have been handled in Nigeria. Two of these, the Headquarters, Workshops and Staff Housing for Kano Agricultural Development Project (KNARDA) and that of Katsina have been completed and occupied.
In the course of its international adventure, the firm has come to establish relationships with some foreign firms as Associates. The firm working jointly with Omrania Associates in Riyadh had the opportunity of have handling the Nigerian Embassy-Chancery and Ambassador’s Residence in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
